Received acceptance to the Screening Scholarship Media Festival (SSMF), constructed version 1 of the Cabildo de Regla: Re-Initiating Tradition Virtual Exhibit.Recibió la aceptación para el Screening Scholarship Media Festival (SSMF), construyó el primer versión del Cabildo de Regla: Exposición Virtual Re-Iniciando la Tradición.
September 14, 2021
Second version of the site initiated. Added the ‘Collaborators’ and ‘Acknowledgements’ pages. Changed background and color scheme across the site.October 1, 2021- November 31, 2021
Soft launch of the site, feedback gathered from a small sample of photographers, digital humanities scholars, museum curators, and Regla community members in Cuba. I find out that the site under Wix is blocked in Cuba. Other feedback is noted and revision planning begins.
December 1, 2021
Public launch of the site planned. Send to journals in digital humanities and Caribbean Studies for academic review. Preparation of a journal article submission for early 2022.Additional site plans include:- The incorporation of interactive maps.- Additional publicly-oriented essays, including those from other contributors.- An “additional resources” page, linking to other recommended sites on Lucumí terminology, understanding of the Orisha practice, etc.

Community Review
The processional recommenced in September 2022 after a two-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was able to show the site to some of the more involved community members and receive feedback.
March 2023
Site Transition to Digital Archive
The second version of the site is published alongside its review in Archipelagos: A Journal of Caribbean Digital Praxis. It formally transitioned from the hybrid exhibition-archive format created for the 2021 SSMF to a full digital archive.
Funding – Financiación
The site is currently funded by the curator. We are in the process of applying for funding grants to sustain the site long-term.
